The Cincinnati Queen city Alumnae chapter of Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. provides exemplary public service programs to benefit The Greater Cincinnati community. Our dedicated and committed members are steadfast in providing public service programs that support educational development, political awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, International awareness and involvement, and economic development. with a commitment to Sisterhood, Scholarship, and service, we uphold the ideals of our founders as we carry our rich heritage and legacy into the 21st century.

EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
DR. BETTY SHABAZZ DELTA ACADEMY
The Dr. Betty Shabazz Academy is a monthly after-school program centered on activities for young women ages 11 to 14. The overarching goal is to guide girls into womanhood with educational support and professional guidance that will lead to academic success. Workshops/activities are designed around Delta’s 5-point programmatic thrust: Educational Development, Economic Development,
International Awareness and involvement, Physical and mental health, and political awareness and involvement. Sessions will focus on social and emotional development, physiological transitioning, decision-making skills, communication skills, exposure to global ideas, and community service. DELTA G.E.M.S PROGRAM
is a four-year program designed to promote the educational and personal development of young ladies during their freshman through their senior years in high school. During this year-round program, young ladies are exposed to African-American female mentors and role models and attend monthly workshops/activities which may include the following: Career choice/life choice; interviewing skills /resume writing;
financial matters; college visit; public speaking/ conflict resolution; community service; sisterhood/bonding activities.
Young ladies that complete the four-year program are eligible to receive a scholarship to be used at a college of their choice. To participate in the Delta G.E.M.S, a young woman must attend a local area high school. For more information please contact us
COLLEGE BOUND STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
The chapter offers scholarships to college-bound students. Since 1989, area youth have been awarded more than $500,000 in scholarships and awards. scholarship requirement includes but is not limited to a minimum of 2.5/4.0 GPA, public service activity, and completion of an interview. The following scholarships are available for those meeting all eligibility requirements: Golden Delta
scholarship (Beautillion), Delta G.E.M.S scholarship, and greater Cincinnati community Scholarship (Females)
